Giucano is 8 km from the sea
and near the
Cinque Terre,
Portovenere, Lerici, The Apuane
Alps and
the wonderful
beach of Punta Corvo.
The Apuane Alpes are well known
because of
the marble
quarries which have given the
town of Carrara
the coat
of arms as "World Capital
of Marble".
Giucano is also only 5 Km from
Sarzana, a
small town
organises many activities with
a wonderful
sense of fun.
During the summer there is the
famous "Loft
on the street"
(La soffitta nella strada) which
is a national
antiques
exhibition usually located in
the "Cittadella".
There are also two big festivals:
the Mind
Festival and the
Napoleonic Festival.
Every evening the old street
of the town
are
full of young people.
However I'm sure that you will
spend most
of your
evening in the peaceful Giucano
and in the
beautiful Rock which has a lot
of history
to tell!
